Senior Technician

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Technician to lead and execute technical installations and maintenance projects for security systems. The role involves overseeing on‑site teams, ensuring high‑quality delivery, and maintaining client satisfaction through professional service.

Key responsibilities

• Lead installation, configuration, and maintenance of access control, CCTV, boom gates, LPR, garage and gate motors, electric fencing and networking solutions.
• Act as project leader on assigned jobs, coordinating resources and managing junior technicians.
• Conduct fault finding, troubleshooting and repairs to ensure optimal system functionality.
• Oversee quality assurance to meet company standards and client requirements.
• Liaise with clients to provide technical updates, training and support.
• Prepare project reports and maintain accurate records of installations and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures on all worksites.
• Manage timelines and budgets for assigned projects.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) essential.
• 3–5 years proven experience in access control, CCTV and related security system installations.
• Strong technical knowledge across access control, surveillance, automation and networking.
• Demonstrated leadership ability to manage projects and guide junior staff.
• Excellent problem‑solving, organizational and time‑management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to client sites.
