Senior System Administrator

About the role

We are seeking a Senior System Administrator to join a fast‑moving, remote‑first organization in South Africa. The role supports a globally distributed workforce, ensuring the stability, security and efficiency of internal IT operations across multiple regions and time zones.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support to internal employees worldwide, troubleshooting hardware, software, VPN, Citrix and access‑management issues.
• Manage user accounts, permissions and provisioning in Google Workspace and Active Directory.
• Configure, deploy and maintain Windows and macOS devices, including OS installation and device setup.
• Administer endpoint management and MDM solutions such as Microsoft Intune or Jamf.
• Handle support tickets through Jira or similar ITSM tools while meeting SLA targets.
• Maintain IT equipment inventory and oversee hardware lifecycle management.
• Assist with IT operations for office hubs, internal events and cross‑functional technical initiatives.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and operations teams to improve internal systems and user experience.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in corporate IT support, system administration or related infrastructure roles.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused mindset.
• Ability to stay calm and organized when handling high‑priority incidents.
