Senior Solutions Sales Manager – Mining Technology

About the role

The Senior Solutions Sales Manager will lead the sale of advanced technology platforms to mining and industrial clients in South Africa. This senior, customer‑facing position requires consultative selling, executive stakeholder engagement and the ability to translate technology into measurable business value.

Key responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with C‑suite, senior operational, technical and commercial stakeholders.
• Lead complex, value‑based solution sales cycles from opportunity identification through to close.
• Develop ROI‑driven business cases, commercial proposals and technology roadmaps.
• Identify customer pain points and align technology solutions to operational and strategic priorities.
• Collaborate with regional and global sales, product, engineering and customer‑success teams while managing a strong pipeline in Salesforce or equivalent CRM.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Technology or related field; postgraduate qualification (MBA or MSc) is advantageous.
• Minimum 5 + years experience in enterprise solution sales, strategic account management or business development, preferably with complex technology, SaaS, cloud or industrial automation.
• Proven ability to engage C‑suite executives, develop business cases and negotiate large, complex opportunities.
• Experience in mining technology is a strong plus, though broader enterprise‑technology backgrounds are also considered.

Required skills

• Salesforce (or equivalent CRM) proficiency.
• Solution‑selling methodologies such as SPIN or Challenger Sales.
• Experience selling SaaS, cloud and data‑driven platforms.
• Strong commercial acumen and ROI quantification.
