Senior Solutions Architect

About the role

Amazon Web Services is looking for a Senior Solutions Architect to partner with South African enterprise customers across multiple industries. You will help them transform their businesses using AI and cloud technologies, translating technical solutions into measurable business value.

Key responsibilities

• Formulate and execute a sales strategy with the Business Development team to exceed revenue objectives through AWS adoption.
• Lead the design, migration, and modernization of applications, software, and services on the AWS cloud and AI platform.
• Educate customers on AWS value propositions and engage in deep architectural discussions.
• Conduct enablement sessions such as Dev Days or Immersion Days for customers at various stages of adoption.
• Capture and share best‑practice knowledge within the AWS Solutions Architect community.
• Contribute to customer‑facing publications like white papers and act as a technical liaison between customers, service teams, and support.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in specific technology domains (e.g., software development, cloud computing, security, data & analytics).
• 5+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience for applications and infrastructures.
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in software or Internet industries.
• Proven ability to communicate with both technical and non‑technical audiences, including executive‑level stakeholders.
