Senior Software Engineer – 3DS Payments

About the role

Entersekt is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its 3DS Payments team. You will work on security‑critical backend services that enable secure payment authentication and handle sensitive data for global financial institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Java‑based backend services within the 3DS Payments platform.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and distributed systems deployed on Apache Tomcat.
• Design, optimise and maintain MySQL database schemas and queries.
• Identify and resolve performance, stability and production issues.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, technical trade‑offs and ensure secure coding practices.
• Collaborate with product, QA and DevOps teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Mentor and support other engineers and take ownership of features from design to production.

Required profile

• Senior backend engineer with strong Java expertise.
• Experience building and maintaining distributed, security‑critical systems.
• Ability to work independently, make architectural decisions and mentor teammates.
• Experience in payments, fintech or other high‑security environments is a strong advantage.
