Senior Silo Manager – Grain & Seed Operations

About the role

The Senior Silo Manager will lead all operational activities at Agrimark’s grain silo and seed facilities. You will ensure efficient intake, grading, processing and dispatch of grain and seed products while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage intake, grading and dispatch of grain products and oilseeds.
• Oversee intake, grading and processing of certified and farm‑saved seed.
• Control daily grain stock levels, financial administration and personnel management.
• Support grain procurement activities and ensure silo maintenance through routine inspections.
• Maintain compliance with occupational health, safety and food‑safety regulations.
• Drive improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and innovation in grain handling and seed processing.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12; a National Diploma in Silo Operations or related field is advantageous.
• At least 6 years of relevant experience in silo or grain operations.
• Grading certificates for winter grain, maize and canola, and a certificate in grain fumigation.
• SANSOR accredited qualification preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience in grain procurement are a plus.
