Senior SAP Functional Consultant – FICO (S/4HANA)

About the role

Our client in Pretoria is looking for a senior SAP Functional Consultant specializing in the FICO module. The role will focus on master data, configuration, and integration across SAP landscapes, supporting both S/4HANA and legacy environments.

Key responsibilities

• Document current (as‑is) and future (to‑be) business processes.
• Coordinate with consultants from other SAP modules to define integration requirements.
• Prepare system design specifications for custom development and create test cases and user manuals.
• Configure SAP FICO and related modules, maintain functional documentation, and support end‑user authorisations.
• Conduct unit, integration and security testing, and propose improvements to business processes.
• Provide second‑level support, troubleshoot issues, and work with Solution Manager where applicable.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in SAP FICO, preferably with S/4HANA exposure.
• SAP certification and a bachelor’s degree in IT or Accounting.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work occasional weekends, shifts or travel abroad.
