Senior Sales Manager – Africa & International Markets

About the role

We are seeking a commercially sharp Senior Sales Manager to lead sales performance across South Africa, the wider African continent and international markets. This hands‑on role combines team leadership, customer engagement, pipeline analysis and frequent travel to meet clients worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of 30+ sales professionals across internal and external functions.
• Own revenue, margin, growth and budget performance for the assigned territories.
• Drive individual and collective sales targets, managing key customer relationships and expanding market penetration.
• Oversee quotation, order processing, service delivery and coordination with the exports function.
• Manage sales forecasting, pipeline, budgets and performance reporting.
• Analyse sales trends and translate insights into actionable commercial strategies.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary education.
• Proven sales‑management track record, preferably in mining, industrial, engineering or manufacturing environments.
• Deep understanding of the mining sector and customer decision‑making processes.
• Demonstrated sales growth, target achievement and customer success stories.
• Strong commercial acumen – margins, budgets, forecasting and profitability.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively, including international trips.
