Senior Quality Engineer

About the role

The client seeks an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to lead technical initiatives within an automotive manufacturing environment. You will drive engineering projects, improve manufacturing processes, and ensure compliance with quality, safety and customer standards while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead engineering projects from concept through implementation, aligning strategies with business objectives.
• Analyse and optimise manufacturing processes to increase productivity, OEE, and equipment reliability.
• Manage capital‑expenditure projects, budgets, procurement and installation, ensuring timely delivery.
• Develop equipment specifications, oversee commissioning, and support preventative and predictive maintenance programmes.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen initiatives, conduct root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure engineering activities comply with IATF 16949, support audits, and handle customer complaints and quality investigations.

Required profile

• BEng/BSc/BTech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8–10 years of engineering experience in automotive manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of automotive quality standards, IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA and Control Plans.
• Proven experience in process optimisation, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and structured problem‑solving.
• Demonstrated project management, leadership and mentoring abilities.
