Senior QA Engineer (Mobile)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer (Mobile) to lead quality assurance for globally used mobile applications. The role combines hands‑on testing, automation development and close collaboration with product, engineering and architecture teams in a fully remote, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end QA lifecycle from feature hand‑off to production release.
• Review specifications, define test strategies and create detailed test plans, cases and checklists.
• Execute functional, exploratory, regression, UI/UX and end‑to‑end API testing on real devices and emulators.
• Develop, maintain and extend mobile test‑automation frameworks for UI and API testing.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and automate critical user journeys.
• Validate builds, test deep links, perform pre‑release checks and monitor production performance.
• Track and improve QA metrics such as test coverage, defect rates and automation effectiveness.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Mobile Engineers, Backend Engineers and Architects throughout development.

Required profile

• Strong mobile QA expertise with a proven track record on iOS and Android platforms.
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, test design techniques and development processes.
• Experience with mobile application lifecycles, App Store and Google Play release processes.
• Ability to estimate testing effort accurately and deliver high‑quality validation within deadlines.

Required skills

• iOS and Android testing on real devices and emulators.
• Mobile test‑automation frameworks (e.g., Appium, Espresso, XCUITest).
• CI/CD pipeline integration.
• Debugging tools: Proxyman, Charles, Fiddler, ADB logcat, Xcode Console.
• API testing tools: Postman, REST/GraphQL.
• Test data management and bug‑tracking/test‑management tools.
