Senior Property Broker

About the role

WH Auctioneers is seeking an experienced Senior Property Broker to join its Property Division in Johannesburg. The role focuses on sourcing, securing and managing auction mandates across a wide range of property sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Drive new business and build strong referral networks.
• Negotiate auction mandates and advise clients on auction strategy.
• Position properties effectively in the market and ensure professional, transparent mandate management.
• Collaborate with Broking, Advisory, Marketing and Operations teams.
• Assist with property viewings, purchaser engagement, auction preparation and auction‑day activities.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of experience in property broking, commercial real estate, auctions, sales or asset disposal.
• Valid Fidelity Fund Certificate (FFC) is essential.
• Proven ability to source, secure and manage property mandates.
• Strong negotiation, communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Financial literacy to interpret market data, pricing trends and comparable sales.
• Excellent administrative skills for tracking, documentation and reporting.
• High professionalism, integrity and discretion, especially with distressed or sensitive transactions.
• Self‑motivated, target‑driven and capable of independent work.
