Senior Project Manager – 12‑Month Contract

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex business and technology initiatives for a leading financial organisation. This 12‑month fixed‑term role offers the chance to drive strategic projects, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and deliver measurable business value.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of projects from initiation through implementation.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, risk registers and issue logs.
• Drive execution to meet milestones, removing blockers and ensuring scope compliance.
• Coordinate with business units, technology teams, operations and third‑party vendors.
• Facilitate project meetings, workshops and governance forums.
• Ensure adherence to governance frameworks, reporting standards and compliance requirements.
• Maintain strong stakeholder relationships and provide regular project updates.

Required profile

• 8–10 years of experience as a Senior Project Manager delivering complex business or IT projects.
• Proven track record of successful delivery in complex environments, preferably within the financial sector.
• Strong skills in project planning, risk, issue, dependency and budget management.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication abilities, with influence at all organisational levels.
• Leadership, facilitation and coordination experience across multiple teams and vendors.
• Experience working within structured project governance frameworks.
• Solution‑focused mindset that balances delivery speed with governance and control.
