About the role
We are seeking a senior PHP developer to join a fully remote team, working on high‑traffic, mission‑critical systems. The role involves designing scalable architecture, delivering clean code, and ensuring performance under production pressure.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain robust PHP applications that handle real‑world scale.
- Identify, diagnose and resolve performance and scalability bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver business‑critical solutions.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and guide technical direction.
Required profile
- 5+ years of professional PHP development experience.
- Proven track record delivering complex, production‑grade systems.
- Experience working with legacy codebases and evolving them.
- Ability to take ownership and operate at a senior level.
- Hands‑on experience building and consuming APIs.
- Strong SQL skills with MySQL or PostgreSQL and query optimisation.
