Senior .NET MAUI Developer (Android Terminal Application)

About the role

You will be one of two developers building a new Android terminal application from the ground up for PAX payment devices in a fuel forecourt environment. The app consolidates fleet card processing, mobile money, cash handling, shift management and attendant management into a single terminal solution. The team works in an AI‑assisted development model using Claude and Cursor as core tools.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build the terminal application in .NET MAUI for Android on PAX hardware.
• Integrate with payment, fleet and mobile‑money back‑ends and with PAX device SDKs (card readers, printers, peripherals).
• Own features end‑to‑end, from specification through on‑device testing.
• Test the solution on physical PAX terminals at the Cape Town office.
• Contribute to architecture and technical direction, not just ticket execution.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience with .NET and C#.
• Proven delivery of real‑world .NET MAUI or Xamarin.Forms applications.
• Android platform expertise, including native interop and hardware SDK work.
• Daily practical use of AI coding tools such as Claude, Cursor or Copilot.
• Ability to work independently against loosely defined requirements and move fast without breaking things.
• Willingness to travel to Cape Town for periodic on‑site testing.
