Senior Mobile Engineer (iOS) – Remote First

About the role

Equal Experts is looking for a senior iOS/Swift engineer to join its remote‑first consultancy network. You will partner with blue‑chip enterprise and public‑sector clients to design, build and deliver high‑quality mobile applications that meet business requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to define requirements and translate them into robust iOS solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to client development teams.
• Deliver software using agile/XP practices such as TDD, pair programming, CI/CD, and continuous delivery.
• Automate build pipelines and manage App Store deployments.
• Help improve the client’s mobile delivery capability through coaching and process optimisation.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of commercial experience delivering iOS apps that are live on the App Store.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a growth‑mindset.
• Comfortable working in both object‑oriented and functional programming styles.
• Experience mentoring others and advocating agile practices.

Required skills

• Swift (Swift 5) and SwiftUI.
• UIKit and core Cocoa frameworks.
• iOS platform guidelines, Human Interface Guidelines and idiomatic development patterns.
• RESTful APIs, HTTP, and thin‑client architecture.
• CI/CD pipelines, automated builds and App Store deployment.
• Test‑Driven Development (TDD), pair programming and other agile/XP techniques.
