Senior Marketing Manager – Customer Growth & Lifecycle

Amazon South Africa is seeking a Senior Marketing Manager to lead customer growth and lifecycle initiatives. In this high‑impact position you will shape how millions of customers discover, experience, and engage with Amazon, driving acquisition, repeat purchase and long‑term value.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end customer growth across the lifecycle funnel, focusing on New‑to‑Amazon acquisition, repeat purchase and long‑term value.
• Define and execute lifecycle strategy for acquisition and engagement cohorts, including annual plans and event‑based go‑to‑market programs.
• Design, scale and optimise cross‑channel programs that improve value perception and drive high‑value actions.
• Build and manage an experimentation roadmap using segmentation, targeting and performance analysis to uncover growth opportunities.
• Partner with Marketing, Prime, Deals, Business and Product teams to align inputs and deliver lifecycle goals.
• Oversee onsite and CRM strategy across key touch‑points to improve discovery, conversion and repeat engagement.
• Establish scalable mechanisms, dashboards and playbooks that enhance visibility, simplify execution and enable consistent delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading customer acquisition and retention programs in a fast‑growing e‑commerce or marketplace environment.
• Strong data‑driven mindset with ability to translate insights into actionable marketing strategies.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing senior leaders across Marketing, Retail, Prime and Product.
• Demonstrated ability to design and run large‑scale experiments and iterate based on results.
