Senior Ladieswear Range Developer and Merchandiser

About the role

We are seeking a senior professional to lead the development and merchandising of our ladieswear range. The role involves managing product development from concept through production, liaising with buyers and factories, and ensuring profitable delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Present product ranges to potential customers and buyers.
• Negotiate pricing, quality and delivery terms with factories (local and import).
• Develop and source new fabrics and products, including sample development.
• Prepare presentations and quotations for clients.
• Approve product costings to meet gross profit targets.
• Place purchase orders and manage sales contracts with factories.
• Track orders and ensure on‑time shipment and delivery.
• Control courier costs for samples and manage quality‑control specifications.
• Coordinate pre‑production samples through to production approval.
• Handle claims for defective quality or late delivery and monitor recoveries.

Required profile

• 6 to 8 years experience as a fully fledged Ladieswear or Kidswear Merchandiser, Range Developer, and Designer within a clothing supply and manufacture environment.
• Fashion‑related degree or diploma.
• Must have both local and import experience.
