Senior Java Full Stack Developer – Hybrid (6‑Month Contract)

About the role

Our client is seeking a Senior Java Full Stack Developer to join a dynamic delivery team for a six‑month contract. The role is hybrid, combining remote work with occasional visits to the Waterfall Campus in Johannesburg and the client site in Rosslyn, Pretoria.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain enterprise‑grade Java applications across front‑end and back‑end layers.
• Build and enhance services using Spring Framework and/or Quarkus, and create RESTful APIs.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure‑as‑Code using GitOps, ArgoCD and Terraform.
• Set up monitoring and observability with Prometheus and Grafana.
• Develop event‑driven solutions leveraging Kafka, AMQP and related messaging platforms.
• Collaborate with architects, QA, and business stakeholders in Agile ceremonies.
• Apply software engineering best practices, automated testing and secure coding standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience delivering cloud‑native, enterprise‑scale applications.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities within Agile and DevOps environments.
