Senior Insurance Call Centre Advisor

About the role

WNS Global Services, a global Business Process Management provider with a strong presence in South Africa, is hiring Insurance Senior Call Centre Advisors in Cape Town. The role handles inbound customer calls to resolve inquiries quickly and to a high standard, and involves processing payments and maintaining accurate customer data.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to inbound customer telephone calls and, on occasion, initiate customer calls
• Provide customers with correct information and handle their concerns and objections
• Take steps to retain customers and identify their needs for other business units
• Resolve inquiries quickly, efficiently and to a high standard
• Maintain policies and change details as needed, and keep customer data accurate
• Process payments from customers
• Adhere to underwriting guidelines, compliance guidelines and best practice procedures
• Participate in weekly and monthly coaching

Required profile

• Matric/Grade 12
• At least 1 year of working experience in a call centre environment, preferably in insurance
• High degree of patience and assertiveness, with good rapport-building skills
• Team player with a positive attitude, able to influence and motivate others
• Effective time management and emotional intelligence

Working conditions

• Afternoon and night shifts, Monday to Sunday (rotational)
• Candidates must have fibre internet or live in a fibre-enabled area
