Senior Infrastructure Engineer – Linux, Automation & Cloud

About the role

Abalobi Solutions is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, build and maintain secure Linux platforms that support critical enterprise production systems. The role operates in a modern DevOps and Agile environment, focusing on automation, cloud integration and high‑availability services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain Linux client platforms for office and production environments.
• Create and manage Linux base images, software packages and platform standards.
• Implement automation using Ansible, Ansible Tower and scripting (Bash, Python, Perl).
• Administer Linux environments across physical, virtual and cloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure).
• Monitor system performance, ensure high availability and conduct vulnerability remediation.
• Manage patching, upgrades and lifecycle of Linux systems.
• Support Incident, Problem and Change Management processes.
• Develop Infrastructure‑as‑Code and Configuration‑as‑Code solutions, maintain Git repositories and GitOps workflows.
• Collaborate with cloud, security and application teams and produce technical documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of IT operations experience.
• At least 7 years in configuration management and infrastructure automation.
• Proven experience supporting enterprise Linux environments.
• Experience working in DevOps and Agile teams.
• Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

Required skills

• Linux administration (RHEL, Ubuntu, SUSE/SLES).
• Ansible & Ansible Tower.
• Scripting languages: Bash, Python, Perl.
• Git, GitHub and GitOps workflows.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure.
• Networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, SSH, TCP/IP).
• System monitoring tools (Grafana or similar).
• Virtualisation (VMware) and container platforms (Kubernetes, Docker, Podman, OpenShift).
• Backup and recovery solutions (Veritas InfoScale).
• Windows Server administration.
• Observability tools (Dynatrace, Splunk).
• IT service management (ServiceNow, Red Hat Satellite).
