Senior Foreman / Assistant Workshop Manager

About the role

Join a well‑established automotive dealership as a Senior Foreman / Assistant Workshop Manager. You will lead the workshop team, ensure vehicles are serviced to manufacturer standards, and help drive profitability while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily workshop operations, ensuring quality workmanship and compliance with manufacturer standards.
• Lead and manage technicians, apprentices, service advisors and support staff.
• Monitor productivity, labour sales and workshop profitability.
• Manage warranty processes and service department performance.
• Control inventory, stock levels and ensure health, safety and housekeeping standards are met.
• Maintain accurate workshop administration, reporting and documentation.

Required profile

• Matric / Grade 12 qualification.
• Recognised Motor Trade Test Certificate (Red Seal).
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in a dealership or OEM service workshop.
• Previous experience as a Workshop Foreman, Assistant Workshop Manager, Workshop Manager or Service Advisor.
• Valid driver’s licence and clean criminal record.
• Medically fit and willing to work hands‑on in the workshop.

Required skills

• Vehicle diagnostics and repair knowledge.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Experience with dealership management systems.
