Senior Flight Leisure Specialist (Cape Town)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Flight Leisure Specialist to join our Cape Town team. The role combines deep travel‑industry knowledge with a passion for aviation, delivering tailored leisure travel solutions and exceptional client service.

Key responsibilities

• Consult with clients to compile quotes and issue domestic, regional, and international leisure travel bookings.
• Upsell hotels, car hire, and travel insurance as appropriate.
• Maintain high‑detail administrative records and manage complex itineraries.
• Drive the travel unit’s strategic direction and align with broader company objectives.
• Build and nurture long‑term relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
• Provide proactive problem‑solving, including handling flight changes, airline grounding, and weather disruptions.
• Work flexible hours, including after‑hours emergency shifts on a rotational basis.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years experience in leisure travel, with strong destination and product knowledge.
• Proven ability to qualify enquiries, build rapport, and meet individual KPI targets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Willingness to continuously learn, including latest visa requirements.

Required skills

• Amadeus GDS proficiency (minimum 5 years, including NDC bookings).
• Experience with Amadeus NDCx and other providers such as Verteil.
• Familiarity with internal IT and CRM systems (training provided).
• Strong knowledge of international and multi‑city fare structures.
