Senior Finance Manager

About the role

Accountics Group is establishing a South African office and seeks a Senior Finance Manager to act as the right‑hand to the partner leading local operations. You will manage a diverse client portfolio, deliver high‑quality financial services, and ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations while the partner is based in the Netherlands.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end delivery for a portfolio of clients, maintaining strong relationships.
• Prepare and review annual financial statements, management accounts, and statutory filings across multiple jurisdictions.
• Oversee day‑to‑day bookkeeping, monthly close processes and management reporting.
• Provide hands‑on financial advice, identify issues, flag risks and recommend solutions.
• Support consolidation engagements, IFRS and local GAAP reporting, and audit preparation.
• Assist the partner in building and running the South African office, including team coordination and workflow management.
• As the team expands, mentor junior staff, establish workflows, maintain quality standards and foster a collaborative culture.
