Senior Field Service Technician - Cape Town

About the role

The Senior Field Service Technician will join a leading industrial and manufacturing services provider in Brackenfell, Cape Town. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality installations, maintenance, repairs and customer service in demanding industrial environments.

Key responsibilities

• Assess sites, conduct inspections and prepare installation packs with tools, parts and accessories.
• Perform accurate and timely installations of mechanical and electrical equipment, ensuring compliance with OHS requirements.
• Carry out fault‑finding, breakdown repairs and routine maintenance on‑site, aiming for first‑time fix.
• Maintain high quality standards during commissioning and handover, providing all required documentation.
• Mentor junior technicians, support team members and uphold safety and PPE protocols.

Required profile

• Grade 12 with Mathematics and English, or equivalent Technical Trade Certificate.
• Additional trade qualification (advantageous).
• Valid South African driver’s licence and forklift licence.
• Working at Heights, Risk Assessment and First Aid Level 1 certifications.
• Scaffolding erection/inspection and welding qualifications (advantageous).
• Minimum 3 years as a Junior Field Technician and 3+ years in a technical, electrical or industrial environment.
