Senior Engineering Manager (Engineering Systems & Governance)

About the role

Our client, a leading international engineering and advanced manufacturing organisation, is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead its Engineering Support Functions. This strategic role will drive governance, configuration management, product lifecycle management and continuous improvement across complex programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Engineering Support Functions team.
• Drive engineering governance, configuration management and product lifecycle processes.
• Oversee engineering change management and technical review processes.
• Develop and improve product safety and FMEA methodologies.
• Establish engineering systems, standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Production, Supply Chain and Project teams.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives across engineering support functions.

Required profile

• BEng degree, preferably Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years experience in a complex engineering development environment.
• Strong experience with configuration management and product lifecycle management.
• Proven ability to implement engineering systems, standards and governance processes.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Systems Engineering and Project Management experience advantageous.

What we offer

• Annual salary between R 1,200,000 and R 1,800,000.
