About the role

The Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality is seeking a Senior Engineering Draughtsman to lead the production of electrical development, contract and asset drawings. The role involves creating detailed electrical network reticulation plans and supporting the municipality’s infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

Produce electrical network reticulation plans, architectural designs, engineering drawings, and electricity layouts and schematics.
Provide reticulation data and obtain information on ongoing projects.
Maintain the drawing office archive system and ensure accurate records of fixed assets.
Carry out site inspections to verify design implementation.

Required profile

Grade 12 qualification and N6 technical drawing AllyCAD End‑user course.
Eligibility for registration with the SA Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP) or membership of a recognized draughting society.
Valid B/EB driver’s licence.
Minimum four years of draughting experience.

Required skills

Proficiency in AllyCAD technical drawing software.
