Senior Data Scientist

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Scientist to join a dynamic analytics team. The role focuses on delivering innovative, data‑driven solutions that generate measurable business value for our client in the financial services sector.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement advanced analytics and machine‑learning solutions to support strategic decisions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into data‑driven solutions.
• Analyse large, complex datasets to uncover actionable insights.
• Design, build, validate, and maintain predictive models.
• Conduct experimental design and hypothesis testing to verify analytical findings.
• Present technical results clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Support and enhance analytics infrastructure, databases, and reporting tools.
• Retrain and optimise existing machine‑learning models as needed.
• Assist in migrating on‑premises analytics solutions to cloud platforms.
• Create reports and monitoring solutions to track model performance and stability.
• Promote analytics and data‑science adoption across business units.

Required profile

• BSc in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or related field (Honours/Master’s advantageous).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data science or analytics.
• Proven track record delivering analytics projects from concept to implementation.
• Experience in financial services is a plus.
