Senior Conveyancer – Johannesburg Northern Suburbs

About the role

Our client, a well‑established legal practice in the northern suburbs of Johannesburg, is seeking an experienced Senior Conveyancer to lead a busy conveyancing department. The role involves managing complex lending matters, commercial property finance bonds and cancellations, and overseeing a correspondents department.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the conveyancing department.
• Handle complex bond registrations, cancellations and related conveyancing matters.
• Ensure compliance with client and banking requirements.
• Maintain and develop client relationships, delivering high‑level service.
• Support and guide departmental staff, stepping in for the Head of Department when required.

Required profile

• Admitted Attorney and Conveyancer.
• Minimum 7 years post‑admission experience, with strong focus on bond registrations.
• Proven experience in complex lending and commercial property finance transactions.
• Demonstrated ability to manage conveyancing staff and workflows.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
