Senior Conveyancer – Johannesburg (Market Related)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Conveyancer to independently manage our Johannesburg commercial property finance and bonds department. The role supports the Pretoria team and requires handling complex lending, bond registrations and cancellations in a high‑pressure environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Johannesburg department covering complex lending, commercial property finance bonds, Standard Bank legal cancellations and the correspondents function.
• Process bond registrations, cancellations and related documentation with strict adherence to deadlines.
• Maintain operational efficiency of the Johannesburg office, including client sign‑ins and sign‑outs.
• Coordinate with the Pretoria team to ensure seamless service delivery across locations.
• Provide expert advice on company structures, trusts and related legal matters.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years post‑qualification experience in bond registrations and conveyancing.
• Deep knowledge of bonds, company structures and trusts.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work long hours when required.
• Strong interpersonal skills for dealing with demanding clients and internal personnel.
