Senior Consultant, Strategic Program Management

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Consultant to lead strategic programmes that translate organisational strategy into measurable impact. The role sits at the heart of complex transformation engagements, working with senior leaders across South Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage project workstreams, ensuring delivery against objectives, timelines and quality standards.
• Apply programme and project management expertise to solve complex business challenges.
• Coordinate and guide small teams to achieve desired outcomes.
• Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor throughout programme delivery.
• Engage senior stakeholders and influence decision‑making across client organisations.
• Support business development by identifying opportunities within existing client relationships.
• Contribute to the development of methodologies, thought leadership and internal initiatives.
• Collaborate across multiple consulting capabilities to deliver integrated solutions.

Required profile

• End‑to‑end programme and project management experience.
• Proven ability to lead and coordinate small teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Exposure to transformation, change and technology‑enabled programmes.
• Experience managing project budgets and delivery risks.
• Confidence engaging with senior executives and leadership teams.
• Understanding of both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
• Experience working within product‑led environments.
• Proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset with the ability to simplify complexity.
