Senior Construction Foreman (Commercial Projects)

About the role

RPO Recruitment’s client, a reputable building contractor, is looking for an experienced Senior Construction Foreman to lead commercial building projects in Cape Town. The role is hands‑on and requires strong supervision of site activities to ensure safety, quality and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily site operations, ensuring projects meet safety, schedule and quality standards.
• Manage site labour, subcontractors and suppliers, and monitor progress against specifications and programme.
• Conduct regular site inspections, uphold workmanship standards, and enforce health and safety regulations.
• Coordinate material deliveries and site resources for efficient execution.
• Liaise with site management to resolve issues and maintain project momentum.
• Maintain accurate site records and report on progress.

Required profile

• National Diploma in Building or related qualification.
• 10–15 years of experience as a Construction Foreman in commercial building projects.
• Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Valid driver’s licence.
