About the role
We are seeking a Senior Compliance Manager to join our team in Sandton, Johannesburg. The role provides independent second‑line oversight, advice and challenge to the Chief Compliance Officer and supports the bank’s compliance framework.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the General Compliance Team, delivering oversight and constructive challenge to the CCO.
- Maintain a comprehensive compliance universe and continuously monitor regulatory developments.
- Develop, update and quality‑assure Compliance Risk Management Plans (CRMPs) for prioritized obligations.
- Design and deliver risk‑based compliance training programmes and ensure new hires complete training within 30 days.
- Review legal contracts, assess legal risk and support the CCO in managing legal exposure.
- Coordinate regulatory requests, inspections and meetings, acting as the first point of contact when delegated.
