Senior Back-End Developer – Node.js & AWS (Contract)

About the role

Our client is seeking a Senior Back‑End Developer to join the core Software Engineering team of a global IT hub that powers an e‑mobility platform. The role focuses on designing, building and operating event‑driven Node.js micro‑services on AWS that enable smart‑vehicle charging, IoT wallbox connectivity and Vehicle‑to‑Home/Grid use cases.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, develop and maintain production‑ready serverless Node.js applications and OpenAPIs on AWS Lambda.
• Provide 24/7 operational ownership, monitor services with CloudWatch and apply cloud‑security patterns.
• Design and manage automated deployment pipelines using CloudFormation or Terraform together with GitHub Actions.
• Lead technical deliveries, mentor squad members and coordinate with global customers and energy partners.

Required profile

• 5+ years of production experience with Node.js in serverless architectures and 5+ years with AWS serverless services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, Kinesis, S3).
• Proven track record of leading technical teams, managing CI/CD pipelines and supporting production applications 24/7.

Required skills

• Infrastructure as Code – CloudFormation (preferred) or Terraform.
• CI/CD with GitHub Actions.
• Automated testing – unit and end‑to‑end tests.

• Agile/Scrum delivery methodology.
