Senior Associate, General Counsel

About the role

Worley is seeking a Senior Associate, General Counsel to join its global legal team. This senior‑level lawyer will support complex commercial contracts, advise senior leadership, and mentor junior attorneys across the EMEA region.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate large, complex contracts and commercial agreements.
• Provide post‑award legal support and manage commercial risk for major projects.
• Lead and develop a team of Legal Counsels, Associate General Counsels and Senior Associate General Counsels.
• Collaborate with senior leadership, regional generalist attorneys, Centre of Excellence teams, and cross‑functional groups.
• Act as legal lead for a Global Operations SVP, advising on capture, execution, change management and dispute matters.
• Participate in and encourage involvement in Working Groups to foster knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Significant in‑house legal experience, preferably in a global or matrixed organisation.
• Proven ability to supervise, coach and mentor junior lawyers.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to align legal advice with business objectives.
• Experience working with legal systems, technology tools and AI is advantageous.
