Senior Associate – Corporate & Commercial Law

About the role

Our client, a boutique law firm in Stellenbosch, is looking for a Senior Associate to strengthen its corporate and commercial practice. You will be involved in complex, multi‑step transactions and corporate restructurings for technology‑focused clients.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate commercial contracts and shareholding arrangements.
• Manage share sales, subscriptions, buy‑backs and sale‑of‑business transactions.
• Structure joint ventures and prepare shareholders' agreements.
• Handle corporate authorisations and regulatory filings associated with transactions.
• Conduct legal due diligence for private equity and venture‑capital deals.

Required profile

• Admitted attorney in good standing with the LPC.
• Minimum 2 years post‑qualification experience in corporate law.
• Strong knowledge of company law and ability to draft high‑quality corporate documents.
• Genuine interest in corporate transactions and related legislation.
• Detail‑oriented, conscientious and able to work under pressure.
• Excellent deal execution skills with a practical, outcome‑focused approach.
• Self‑starter who can work independently and as part of a team.
