Senior Airport Services Agent

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Airport Services Agent to join our team in Durban, South Africa. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality service to passengers throughout check‑in, boarding, lounge access, and baggage handling while adhering to commercial and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain constant liaison with check‑in, transfer desks and related areas to ensure smooth passenger acceptance.
• Support the Airport Services Supervisor and coordinate with GHA for hotel and transfer passenger processing.
• Escort and direct arriving and departing passengers to hotels, visa counters, premium lounges, and boarding gates.
• Assist the duty officer with handling company material and records.
• Provide guidance on entry requirements, visas and residence permits.
• Ensure passengers move smoothly through all airport facilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned to maintain efficient operations.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience in airport operations for a leading airline.
• Strong background in customer service.
• High energy, positive attitude and ability to work in a high‑pressure environment.
• Willingness to work shifts.
• Legal right to live and work in South Africa.

Required skills

• Experience with DCS (Departure Control System).
• Strong knowledge of Amadeus reservation system.
• Familiarity with ticketing processes is an advantage.
