Senior Accountant

About the role

Network Finance is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to lead the finance function in its Cape Town Northern Suburbs office. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain statutory compliance, and provide strategic insights to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full month‑end accounting cycle, including journals, accruals and reconciliations.
• Manage creditors and debtors processes.
• Prepare and submit VAT, PAYE and other statutory returns.
• Liaise with SARS and other regulatory bodies on tax and compliance matters.
• Coordinate the year‑end audit, providing schedules and supporting documentation.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
• Produce financial reports and deliver insights for business decisions.

Required profile

• BCom Accounting or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in a similar senior role.
• Strong knowledge of VAT, PAYE and statutory compliance.
