Senior Account Manager – Cybersecurity Sales

About the role

Our client, a leading Cybersecurity Services provider based in Sandton, is seeking a Senior Account Manager to grow and manage an existing portfolio of clients while driving new business across South Africa and the wider African region. You will work closely with technical consultants and delivery managers to design solutions that improve clients' security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Build and nurture strong relationships with existing clients, identifying upsell and cross‑sell opportunities (≈70% of time).
• Prospect, engage and win new customers across key verticals such as finance, retail and healthcare (≈30% of time).
• Develop tailored proposals, presentations and value‑based sales pitches that address specific security challenges.
• Collaborate with technical teams to align solutions with client needs and ensure smooth hand‑over to delivery.
• Maintain accurate pipeline data, forecast sales and manage follow‑ups using the company CRM.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of proven experience selling cybersecurity or IT services.
• Consistent track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, comfortable engaging C‑level stakeholders.
• Familiarity with core cybersecurity concepts such as penetration testing and risk assessments.
