Security Site Supervisor

About the role

The Security Site Supervisor leads on‑site security officers, ensuring a disciplined and professional presence while safeguarding the premises. This role requires rapid incident response, thorough reporting, and continuous improvement of security procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and lead all on‑site security officers, ensuring consistent performance and discipline.
• Manage shift handovers, officer relief, and maintain accurate posting rosters.
• Respond promptly to alarms, security alerts, and take immediate control of incidents until handed over to senior management.
• Record and report breaches, incidents, and short‑posting events in the Occurrence Book within 24 hours.
• Review CCTV footage for investigations and prepare preliminary reports.
• Test the responsiveness of armed response service providers regularly.
• Provide daily situational updates and brief incoming officers on incidents and operational changes.
• Continuously assess site vulnerabilities and recommend security enhancements.

Required profile

• Matric or Security Investigation certificate/diploma with PSIRA Security Grading (A/B).
• Minimum 5–6 years of relevant security experience, including at least 4 years in a supervisory role.
• Proven track record in security operations and site management.
• Junior managerial course or tactical/operational security training preferred.
• Firearm competency for handling firearms found on site.

• Health and safety knowledge, including basic firefighting.
• Security evacuation‑plan expertise.
• Guard roster and timesheet management.
• OB inspection experience.
