About the role
The Security Officer will be responsible for opening and closing twist locks on container wagons and performing a range of ad‑hoc duties at the terminal. The role also involves basic office work, security monitoring, and supporting various operational functions to ensure smooth terminal operations.
Key responsibilities
- Open and close twist locks of container wagons.
- Perform cleaning of buildings and containers following cleaning procedures.
- Carry out basic office tasks and security monitoring at the terminal.
- Assist drivers with code 10‑14 operations as needed.
- Support electrical engineering and boilermaker activities under supervision.
- Help machine operators and safety officers with ad‑hoc duties.
Required profile
- Minimum education: Grade 10 or Level 2 qualification.
- Physically fit and able to handle manual terminal tasks.
- Safety conscious with a strong awareness of cultural diversity.
- People‑oriented with good decision‑making and communication abilities.
