Security & Compliance Manager – SATIC

About the role

The Security & Compliance Manager will lead and embed security, risk and compliance practices across technology, data, AI and delivery teams within PwC's South Africa Delivery Centre. You will act as a bridge between delivery, technology, cybersecurity, legal and leadership functions to ensure solutions meet all relevant standards and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation and operation of security, risk and compliance controls for client delivery activities.
• Collaborate with technology, data, AI and delivery teams to embed security standards into platforms and processes.
• Interpret policies, standards and regulatory requirements into practical actions and remediation plans.
• Support audits, control testing, risk assessments and compliance reviews.
• Track risks, issues and remediation evidence, driving continuous improvement of control maturity.
• Influence and manage cross‑functional stakeholders to promote a culture of secure and compliant delivery.

Required profile

• 7‑9 years of experience in security, risk, compliance, IT governance, cybersecurity or technology assurance.
• Experience working with technology, software delivery, data, cloud or digital transformation teams.
• Proven track record supporting audits, control testing, risk assessments or compliance reviews.
• Strong ability to interpret policies, standards and regulatory requirements into actionable steps.
• Demonstrated stakeholder management and influencing skills across cross‑functional teams.
• Background in professional services, consulting, financial services or client‑facing technology delivery environments.

Required skills

• Knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO 27001 and NIST.
• Familiarity with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, POPIA).
• Experience with risk assessment methodologies and compliance evidence collection.
