SDET – Native Mobile Automation Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong test automation engineering capability and hands‑on mobile application testing experience across iOS and Android. The role designs, develops and maintains scalable automation solutions while collaborating with developers, QA engineers and product teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain reusable, scalable test automation frameworks for iOS and Android applications.
• Create automated functional, regression, integration and end‑to‑end test suites and execute them on physical devices, emulators and simulators.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and investigate failures to distinguish between defects, environment issues and automation problems.
• Validate mobile functionality such as navigation, gestures, push notifications, biometrics, deep links, offline behavior and application lifecycle scenarios.
• Collaborate with developers to improve testability, identify defects early and embed quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Required profile

• Strong SDET or test automation engineering experience with a focus on building reusable frameworks.
• Hands‑on mobile testing experience on both iOS and Android platforms.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex failures across application code, automation framework and test environment.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.

Required skills

• Programming languages: JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, Java, Kotlin, Swift or Python.
• Mobile automation frameworks: Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, Maestro, WebdriverIO, Detox.
• API testing tools: REST APIs, JSON, Postman, Swagger, REST Assured.
• CI/CD tools: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins, GitLab CI.
• Source control: Git.
• Testing on physical devices, emulators and simulators; mobile debugging and log analysis.
