SAP GTS Functional Consultant (HANA Edition)

About the role

Our client, a leading player in the chemical and consumer goods industry, is looking for an experienced SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) Functional Consultant to lead the design and implementation of SAP GTS (Edition for SAP HANA) across a global transformation program. The role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders to create compliant, efficient, and automated cross‑border trade processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead workshops to gather, analyse and document trade compliance and customs requirements.
• Design and implement SAP GTS (HANA edition) solutions aligned with business processes.
• Configure core GTS functionalities such as Sanctioned Party Screening, Embargo Management, Import/Export Customs Management, Export License Determination, Product Classification (HS/HTS), and Preference Determination.
• Translate business needs into scalable functional designs and support global template creation.
• Collaborate with project teams, technical consultants and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Participate in system testing, UAT, deployment, cut‑over and hyper‑care support.
• Prepare functional specifications, solution documentation and regular status reports.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of experience as an SAP Functional Consultant.
• Proven implementation experience with SAP GTS (Edition for SAP HANA) in a global rollout context.
• Strong knowledge of international trade compliance, customs processes and related regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently in a client‑facing consulting environment.
