Sample Machinist – Full-time (42.5 hrs/week)

About the role
Prestige Clothing is seeking a Sample Machinist to assemble garments from patterns and sample bags, ensuring production‑friendly processes.
Key responsibilities
- Assemble garments from start to finish using patterns or Sample Bag (green seal) provided by the Design Centre.
- Operate all machines required for sample garment production.
- Identify and implement ways to make garment assembly more production‑friendly.
Required profile
- Valid Service Record Card (SRC) with the Bargaining Council.
- Ability to read and write and interpret patterns, sketches and technical information.
- Punctual, driven, good communication and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Required skills
- Proficiency in operating a variety of sewing machines.
- Capability to sew all types of samples (pants, tops, skirts, dresses, jackets) and fabrics (woven, knits).
- Strong understanding of garment construction and quality standards.
