Sales Trainer (Airline/Travel BPO)

About the role

The company is seeking a Sales Trainer to develop and deliver high‑impact training programmes for its airline and travel call‑center teams in Cape Town. The role focuses on improving conversion rates, upselling and overall sales performance through workshops, coaching and continuous curriculum updates.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver workshops on conversion optimisation, objection handling, upselling and closing techniques.
• Teach modern sales methodologies and facilitate role‑play, simulations and scenario‑based learning.
• Provide one‑on‑one and group coaching to boost pipeline management and address under‑performance.
• Collaborate with Sales Managers to create training materials, guides and digital resources aligned with business goals.
• Continuously update content to reflect changing buyer behaviours and industry trends.
• Measure training impact through conversion metrics, sales data and participant feedback, adjusting programmes based on ROI analysis.
• Report training effectiveness and recommendations to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Airline or travel industry background with call‑center experience.
• 1‑5 years of training experience in a BPO environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Customer/client handling expertise and ability to work across all shifts.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, sales training or sales enablement.

Required skills

• Understanding of CRM systems and digital selling tools.
