Sales Representative – Tier 2 – Field Sales (Northern Cape)

About the role

Diplomat Distributors SA is seeking a motivated Tier 2 Sales Representative to cover the Northern Cape region, operating from Upington or Kimberley. Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will drive sales of predefined solutions and ensure optimal product presentation in retail outlets.

Key responsibilities

• Influence and sell predetermined sales solutions to targeted customers.
• Achieve set sales budgets and facilitate orders through direct or DC channels.
• Execute merchandising standards (block, cross, format, vertical) and maintain correct pricing and labeling.
• Apply FIFO stock rotation, planogram compliance, and maintain adequate shelf and display stock levels.
• Increase product visibility by coordinating gondola ends, side stacks, power wings, and other display units.
• Manage damages, returns, stock counts and provide market intelligence.
• Support ad‑hoc promotional events, trade shows and territory coverage as needed.

Required profile

• Matric (or SAQA‑equivalent); tertiary qualification is a plus.
• 3‑5 years experience as a Sales Representative in FMCG sales and merchandising.
• Strong knowledge of FMCG accounts, independent retail and wholesale channels.
• Highly motivated, able to work with minimal supervision and under pressure.
• Valid driver’s licence, reliable vehicle, and residence in Upington or Kimberley.
