Sales Representative – Packaging Industry (Johannesburg)

About the role

We are a fast‑growing packaging company supplying boxes, tape, bubble wrap and related products to manufacturers and distributors. We are looking for a self‑managed Sales Representative to generate new business, close deals and onboard customers across Johannesburg.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and generate new leads through cold calling and field outreach.
• Conduct on‑site client visits across Johannesburg.
• Identify customer needs, collect product specifications and prepare quotes.
• Negotiate and close deals, then onboard new customers.
• Maintain light‑touch relationships after closing and collaborate with the admin team for order processing.

Required profile

• Proven B2B sales experience, preferably in packaging or related industries.
• Strong communication, negotiation and problem‑solving abilities.
• Self‑driven, high energy and comfortable with cold calling and in‑person sales.
• Organised, accountable and able to work independently without micromanagement.

Required skills

What we offer

• Base salary ranging from R18,000 to R30,000 per month (depending on experience).
• High commission structure with large upfront commissions and ongoing revenue share (0.5%‑1.5% on future invoices).
• Potential to double or triple monthly earnings through performance.
• Travel/car allowance provided.
