Sales Representative – Johannesburg

About the role

Intrinsic Consulting Solutions is seeking an ambitious External Sales Representative to join the world’s largest packaging supplier. Based in the Eastern Suburbs of Johannesburg, you will drive growth by acquiring new customers and expanding existing accounts across glass, plastic, and metal packaging solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Generate new business leads, respond to inquiries and convert prospects into long‑term clients.
• Maintain and grow relationships with existing key accounts, identifying upsell opportunities.
• Provide consultative advice on standard and customised packaging, market trends and product innovations.
• Conduct regular site visits, represent the company at trade shows and industry events.
• Prepare quotes, follow up on proposals, manage commercial projects and keep accurate sales reports.

Required profile

• Grade 12 certificate (a degree in Sales/Marketing is advantageous).
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in packaging sales, preferably in rigid plastic, beauty or healthcare segments.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans, both written and spoken.
• Valid unendorsed driver’s licence, reliable vehicle and willingness to travel regularly.
• Strong business acumen, self‑motivation and ability to thrive under pressure.
