Sales Representative – FMCG & Logistics

About the role

Join a reputable organization delivering FMCG and logistics solutions and help expand its market presence in South Africa. As a Sales Representative you will develop customer accounts, manage sales routes and build lasting relationships that drive revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and grow customer accounts to increase sales and market share.
• Manage allocated sales routes, conduct regular route rides and call cycles.
• Maintain accurate customer profiles and execute promotional activities across clients and distributor networks.
• Handle product returns, donations, stock rotation and display standards.
• Conduct pricing surveys and provide market feedback for strategic decisions.
• Collaborate with Telesales to enhance customer management and communication.
• Negotiate pricing strategies and commercial deals within approved guidelines.
• Open new customer accounts, follow up on outstanding payments and support special deliveries.
• Resolve customer queries, manage product complaints and understand logistics processes impacting service levels.

Required profile

• Diploma in Sales or related field (NQF Level 4).
• 2‑5 years of sales and marketing experience in the FMCG industry.
• Valid Code B driver’s licence and access to a motor vehicle.
• Strong product knowledge and effective sales techniques.
• Excellent negotiation and teamwork abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
