Sales Leader – South & East Africa

About the role

AVEVA is seeking a Sales Leader for the Southern and East African markets. The role will drive commercial growth, customer engagement and partner ecosystem execution across the region, translating AVEVA’s Africa strategy into actionable plans.

Key responsibilities

• Define priority countries, industries, strategic accounts and partner coverage models.
• Own ACV, TCV, SaaS, renewal, new‑logo and pipeline targets for the region.
• Build a high‑quality pipeline with clear qualification, decision criteria and executive sponsorship.
• Develop and govern strategic account plans for priority customers in mining, power, renewables, data centres, infrastructure and industrial manufacturing.
• Establish senior relationships with C‑level, operations, engineering, digital, IT/OT, procurement and finance stakeholders.
• Lead, coach and develop regional account managers.
• Coordinate presales, marketing, legal, finance, customer success, delivery and support teams to advance strategic opportunities.
• Monitor political, regulatory, currency, infrastructure, energy and procurement risks across assigned countries.

Required profile

• Senior sales leadership experience in enterprise or industrial software, automation, energy, mining or related B2B technology sectors.
• Proven ability to lead complex regional businesses across multiple countries and industries.
• Strong understanding of industrial customers and operational decision‑making in mining, power, utilities, infrastructure and manufacturing.
• Demonstrated track record of achieving ACV, TCV, SaaS growth and new‑logo targets.
